Age 85 of La Villa Acadienne, Meteghan formerly of Dartmouth and Saulnierville. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 in Villa Acadienne where she had been a resident for the past four years. Born in Saulnierville on June 3, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Jeremie and Elizabeth (Comeau) Saulnier. She is survived by her sons, Brian, Saulnierville; and Eric (Cathy), Cole Harbour; grandchildren, Patrick, Taipei, Taiwan; and Erica (Konrad) Abeltshauser, Munich, Germany; sisters-in-law, Lucille Saulnier, Vi Saulnier, Yvonne Saulnier, Rosalie Wills, Aline Bond, Marie Saulnier, Rosemarie Saulnier; brothers-in-law, Melbourne Saulnier, Herman Wills and Hubert D'Eon; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Herbert; sisters, Marguerite Saulnier, Nelida Comeau, Elise Thibault, Marie D'Eon; brothers, Albert, Eddie, Bernie, Ernest, Nelson, and Gerald; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Ella loved gardening, painting and was a very talented craftsperson whose beautiful creations are found in many homes in Nova Scotia and beyond. Visitation will be held in Meteghan Funeral Home Friday, November 23rd, 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 24th, 2 p.m., in Paroisse Sacre-Coeur, Saulnierville. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made to Villa Acadienne Home For Special Care or to charity of your choice. Ella will be greatly missed by family and friends.
