Two men are facing charges after a 19-year-old man says he was forced into a vehicle at gunpoint in Halifax on Thursday night.
Halifax Regional Police responded to a weapons call in the 1600 block of Hollis Street at about 9:40 p.m., according to a police news release.
The victim had allegedly been taken at gunpoint, held against his will and assaulted by two men. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and didn’t need medical treatment.
Police located the suspects — ages 19 and 22 — and arrested them at gunpoint.
The suspects are known to the victim and all three are from China.
The 19-year-old suspect is facing charges of pointing a firearm, use of an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence, forcible confinement and assault. The 22-year-old suspect is facing forcible confinement. They are being held for court.
