Nova Scotia RCMP have charged a 19-year-old man after he was clocked going 77 kilometres over the speed limit on Highway 103 in Chester Basin on Monday morning.

The teenager from Chester was stopped by an officer for going 177 kilometres an hour in a 100 km/h zone, according to a RCMP news release.

The 19-year-old was charged with stunting — a $2,422.50 fine in Nova Scotia. He also had his drivers licence suspended for seven days and the vehicle seized.
