The Dartmouth Horticultural Society (DHS) held a 60th anniversary dedication ceremony in October for the Japanese maple they donated to the Moir Garden at Sullivan’s Pond. It was an afternoon with Audrey Moir, DHS president Eileen Pease, former Dartmouth councillor Gloria McCluskey and Coun. Sam Austin, who gave a presentation on the Japanese maple, all of the hard work Moir and members have done to make the garden beautiful and the importance of gardening. The DHS would like to thank Avis Faulkner for the 60th anniversary decorations, Pat Othen for the 60th anniversary cake and all of the DHS members who attended. Contributed
